Frigiliana

Frigili Frigili

Frigiliana is one of the most wonderful white towns in the south of Europe that is located 6 kilometers north of Nerja. Here you can find the Jewish-mudéjar district that  is an old district inhabited by the Jewish and Moorish before and after the Reconquista. Its name, Mudéjar, is used to describe the architectural style used by Arab craftsmen working in Christian territory. The quarter is made up of steep cobbled alleyways winding past white houses and surrounded with beautiful flowers.

Walk and discover the life town, have a beer in the local cafes and bars, and or spend your evening at the viewpoint that has perfects views to the mountain and sea….
4 buses run everyday from Nerja to Frigiliana
Also…. At the end of August each year Frigiliana hosts the Festival of the Three Cultures (Festival de las Tres Culturas), celebrating the region’s historic confluence and co-existence of Christian, Muslim and Jewish traditions.
